Really sick sounds here. This really reminds me of Chasm by Hudson Lee, def check it out if you haven't already

chipsqueek responds:

that's the song that i based the idea for the outro on, i've been a fan of hudson lee ever since "Forest Fires" dropped.

Holy shit did not expect the drop. Genuinely an insane groove. There's a lot to say about this track, it feels very alive with its drums and texture, but evolves unexpectedly which I love. I'm curious what gave you the idea for the drop.

djeb responds:

thanks for the kind comment!

for this one i was really inspired by the kind of garage callasoiled makes, i highly recommend checking out his "数の民族" album if you like this!

as for the second drop it kind of happened on accident haha but to me it sounds pretty reminiscent of night owl collective's old stuff where edm would get mixed with more jazzy stuff, the tracks inverted silence - for you and jkuch - chimera illustrate what i mean well i think!

Such a classic song you chose for the remix. The up tempo is fun good stuff

V1PEX7 responds:

Thank you! I really liked the original track, had it in my music library for years. After a while I decided it would sound cool in uptempo and remixed it. Glad you liked it!

Very nice reharmonization of the empress theme (top 3 og songs). Also the mixing is interesting I like how much you push each element in climactic sections, especially that delayed lead sound.

Also got a question: how much do you listen to your old tracks if at all?

KORAII responds:

sometimes for the nostalgia

This is amazing, well done on articulating the idea it comes across perfectly imo. Would like to see story-driven music like this from more people

ItsBurner responds:

Thank you so much, this really means a lot to me

I'll definitely try making more story-focused tracks

this is a fun tune, I enjoy the stabby piano it keeps the drive going! If there's one thing my ears were hoping for it's for a sub-bass during the climatic sections, I would say that the biggest criticism to give, but otherwise the bass itself sounds good. Maybe if you're feeling like working on another aspect, I think the high-end has room for more fun stuff. You could introduce some risers, panned cymbals, or maybe just spread the hi-hat rhythms around, I think it'd keep the beat more interesting in the long run. Keep it up

planetGD responds:

The problem I have is that I am not good at finding fitting risers. All the ones I can find don't fit at all. Thank you so much for the feedback!!

really like how emotion is conveyed in the beginning, the song wants to be happy but sounds just sad enough to leave you conflicted. Definitely how I feel around Christmas these days

Deemo-R responds:

I totally get the vibe you mean, the sort of nostalgia where you're pining for years gone by (at least in my case). I think warmth in music comes with more sadness mixed in with the happiness as the years go on.

If heard your music in any documentaries it would easily outshine the content of the movie to me, but take that as a compliment lol.

Deemo-R responds:

I definitely do, it's only a problem when the director/producer says that, haha

This is one of those songs that gives me a beautiful feeling straight out of an old anime movie. like wandering around a fantasized version of a village. good stuff

Deemo-R responds:

Thank you!
